Jose Aparicio, PhD
Preclinical Research Lead
Dr. José Aparicio is a scientist specializing in bioengineering applied to the development of advanced preclinical models and translational research for novel therapy discovery.

With a strong track record in developing and implementing cutting-edge technologies for modeling complex diseases, his work has been instrumental in studying liver fibrosis, sepsis, and the development of therapies for conditions such as hepatic steatosis, atherosclerosis, and abdominal aortic aneurysm.He earned his PhD in Biotechnology from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, where he received the Cum Laude distinction and the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award for his contributions to the development of new therapeutic strategies.
His research excellence was further recognized in the 2022 University Entrepreneurial Competition.

Throughout his career, Dr. Aparicio has worked in outstanding bioengineering and biomedical research laboratories, where he has led the discovery and preclinical validation of innovative therapies. His expertise spans tissue engineering, biotechnology, and translational pharmacology, covering everything from developing and designing experimental models to conducting preclinical studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of new therapies.

At DNAmic Biosystems, Dr. Aparicio leads preclinical research, overseeing the design, development, and validation of disruptive biomedical technologies. To date, he has published seven scientific articles and one book chapter, accumulating more than 130 citations in the scientific literature. He is also the inventor of two international patents, underscoring his commitment to innovation in biomedicine.
